Psyllium Husk Powder Super White

This Super White Psyllium Husk Powder is produced by grinding the husk or outer shell of the psyllium seed into a fine powder. Psyllium is a rich source of dietary fiber and offers various health benefits. It is used extensively in Gluten Free Baking applications. This fiber has no odour but has a slightly earthy flavour. This Arvanza ingredient is superior to other brands with a swell index of >100, and a minimum whiteness/colour value of L80 by Spectrophotometer. Our product can be supplied steam sterilised so increasing its benefits, see notes below.

Benefits of Steam Treatment: Steam treated product is gaining popularity around the world, as more and more customers are concerned about safe raw materials and want to have sterilised psyllium husk for all applications. Steam Treated psyllium also contains low moisture, therefore it controls the development of microbial burden. It is especially more useful where the customer isn’t sterilising the product at their end and using it for dry blends and consumer packaging, as it will be safer for them to use steam sterilized psyllium husk. Steam treatment is used for reduction of microbial load and for killing pathogens. In steam treatment process, only pure filtrate and moisture free steam is used for sterilization and will also have heat as well as cooling in combinational process system. It is a natural sterilization process so there is no chemical residue in the product.
